Source with care
Build reliable relationships with nearby growers and independent grocers. Record what’s available, its condition, and when it can be collected.
Fairburn, Georgia / Pilot in preparation
SharePlate is a practical, community-led way to turn local surplus into nourishing meals. We’re building the Fairburn pilot in the open, one pickup and one shared lesson at a time.
The SharePlate rhythm
Rescue. Cook. Share.
First-person kitchen stories. Neighbors make the handoff.
The ground rules
A free, open core playbook
Dignity in every meal
Food safety before scale
01 / The open playbook
The Fairburn pilot is being designed to be repeatable by people without a large budget or a full-time staff. Here’s the operating loop we’re documenting.
Build reliable relationships with nearby growers and independent grocers. Record what’s available, its condition, and when it can be collected.
Pair seasonal produce with staple ingredients. Log weights and portions so the next cook can plan a generous meal with less guesswork.
A trusted community partner coordinates neighbors and delivery. The kitchen team can focus on safe, thoughtful preparation.
02 / Get involved
Have surplus to share, or time to help? Tell us how you’d like to take part in the Fairburn pilot. We’ll follow up by email.
Donors
Growers, grocers, and neighbors with good food to redirect.
Volunteers
Kitchen, pickup, packing, and community handoff support.
03 / The pilot field log
A starter tool for rescued inventory, meal yield, safety prompts, and chapter impact. Entries stay in this browser; this is not a shared chapter database.

Chapter impact report
Your report uses only the inventory entries recorded above. It is stored and generated in this browser; it is not submitted to a central chapter dashboard.
04 / Faceless video library
A hands-only filming style guide and first storyboards. Published videos will be added as the pilot produces them.
The first pickup
Open on the produce. Stay close on the hands. Capture the knife, the pan, and the final packed meal. Let concise on-screen notes explain the method.
A quiet recipe study: prep, aromatics, texture, and serving.
Portioning, labels, and the final handoff—faces stay out of frame.
Keep donor and recipient details private. Film ingredients, hands, and the work—not people receiving meals.
